FAQs

CAN CHILDREN USE EYE YOGA?

Yes. Children from ages 7 onward can use EYE YOGA. It’s perfect for children who look at screens or read books for long periods of time.

NOTE: Always read and follow the instruction manual before use.

If you have any concerns, please consult a medical practitioner.

HOW LONG DO THE EYE YOGA EXERCISES TAKE?

The automated program of 6 exercises, takes only 5 minutes. There is also a 30 second warm up and a 30 second cool down exercise afterwards for more effective results. These are included in the instruction manual.

NOTE: Always read and follow the instruction manual before use.

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO USE THE EYE YOGA?

We have heard great results reported when the Eye Yoga Device is used a minimum 2 to 3 times per day and up to 3-5 times per day, depending on the level of eyestrain you have and how quickly you want the symptoms gone.

For best results we recommend you work your way up to increasing the frequency, as your eyes get used to the movements.

Starting with:
1x full exercise sequence in the Morning (5mins)
1x full exercise sequence in the Evening (5mins)

You can use the device up to 5 times per day if you are exposed to many hours in front of digital screens (Screens include: TVs, smart phone, tablets, computers).

This is ideal for the first 2-3 weeks, then the device can be used less frequently for eye maintenance as required.

As you will feel the difference in the first 2-3 days of using it, be sure to continue for up to at least 7-9 days to get more lasting results. Then simply maintain as required.

**If you liken this to servicing your car. Once it’s been serviced and everything is working well, you don’t need to keep servicing it every day, however after a period of time, or depending on your mileage, you will need to take it back to get tuned again. With the EyeYoga Device, the first 1 to 2 weeks of using the device is your service, once your eyes feel great again and the strain has been minimised, you simply need to maintain this by using the device at intervals relevant to your screen use.

HOW LONG UNTIL I SEE RESULTS?

Results will be different for everyone and will depend on the level of eyestrain and frequency of use. You should start to feel the difference straight away and notice sustained results in the first 5-7 days of regular use.

HOW LONG WILL THE RESULTS LAST?

If you commit to the first 2 weeks of regular use and achieve significant reduction with your eyestrain, you will be able to maintain this easily by using the Eye Yoga Device only as needed for long-term results.

DOES THE EYE YOGA NEED BATTERIES?

No. EYE YOGA is easily rechargeable via the included USB cable.

*Always read and follow the instruction manual before use.

ISN’T EYE YOGA JUST ANOTHER SCREEN?

The EYE YOGA does not actually feature any screens.

The internals of the headset include areas that illuminate for the eyes to follow, and includes our special patented design that uses smart glass to turn from opaque to fully transparent, to accommodate the near and far sighted exercise.

IF I HAVE GLASSES, CAN I USE EYE YOGA?

Yes. In fact, most of our customers wear glasses and have had fantastic results, noticing the difference after only a couple of days of using it.

However, check with your doctor, optometrist or ophthalmologist before using the EYE YOGA device if you also have an existing eye disease/condition (past and present) to ensure this type of exercise is ok no matter what your age is.

WHERE DID THESE EXERCISES COME FROM?

WHAT IS DIGITAL EYE STRAIN?

When looking at screens such as computers, smartphones, Ipads and TV’s for extended periods of time , including close-up work such as reading books, we are forcing our supporting “eye muscles” to contract (similar to that of a camera lens bringing small objects into focus), with minimal movement, this in turn puts strain on these muscles, causing them to become fatigued and ache.

On average over 80% of people are looking at screens for more than 2 hours per day. Studies show that Australians spend more time in front of a screen than they do sleeping. This can lead to many irritating temporary symptoms including those listed below.

Digital Eye Strain symptoms can include:

  • Sore eyes
  • Tired eyes
  • Blurred vision
  • Dry eyes
  • Trouble focusing
  • Headaches
  • Light sensitivity
  • And more

From the age of 40 our eyes start to lose their elasticity and become more rigid. Add to this the impact of digital eye strain and you have a recipe for tired AGING eyes sooner than expected and an increased chance of these symptoms leading to more serious eye disease in the future. If treated sooner rather than later, you may have a better chance of slowing down the deterioration rate that our eye muscles incur over time with natural aging.

Eye Yoga is designed to help minimise the symptoms of Digital Eye Strain, and ultimately make your eyes feel more comfortable and help them cope with demanding hours of screen time. Through regular use your eye muscles get the movement they need to increase blood flow and maintain flexibility as we age.

*Eye Yoga is an exercise device and not intended to treat medical conditions. Always see your doctor if symptoms persist.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Finally, a workout you will actually enjoy!

EYE YOGA includes specific eye exercises taught by highly trained vision therapists and has incorporated them into one easy-to-use headset. So, all you need to do is turn it on, put it on and relax!

Designed to promote movement and increase blood flow to the muscles, the Eye Yoga headset features 6 simple, easy and natural exercises that prompt you to focus your eyes on certain areas within and includes our special patented design that uses smart glass to turn from opaque to fully transparent, to accommodate the near and far sighted exercise.

NOTE: Always read and follow the instruction manual before use.

WHAT ARE THE EXERCISES & WHAT DO THEY DO?

The 6 x eye exercises, the Eye Yoga includes are:

  • Accommodation Near sightedness & Far sightedness swinging exercise – The ability of the eye to change its focus from distant to near objects (and vice versa). This process is achieved by the lens changing its shape. Accommodation is the adjustment of the optics of the eye to keep an object in focus on the retina as its distance from the eye varies.
  • Convergence –Is the simultaneous inward movement of both eyes toward each other, usually in an effort to maintain single binocular vision when viewing an object. This is the only eye movement that is not conjugate, but instead adducts the eye.
  • Eye tracking Is the process of measuring either the point of gaze (where one is looking) or the motion of an eye relative to the head. An eye tracker is a device for measuring eye positions and eye movement.
  • VERGENCE – Is the simultaneous movement of both eyes in opposite directions to obtain or maintain single binocular vision. … Vergence movements are closely connected to accommodation of the eye.
  • Ocular gymnastics – Targets the eye muscles by toning and relaxing them. … The primary goal is to readapt eyes to focus without tension.
  • Colour Therapy  –The innovative use of safe alternating coloured low emitting LED lights that the colour sensitive receptors respond too. Due to the scientifically documented phenomenon known as Chromatic Aberration, the eyes naturally increase their focus when looking at certain colours & decrease their focus when looking at other colours.
  • Palming Exercise – This exercise size is done for 30 seconds before and after the Eye Yoga exercise. Palming soothes the optic nerve, which is often irritated & is the most calming exercise for the eyes
